On October 1st I got to meet with Brielle for an all-access-behind-the-scenes interview at her apartment for her new song and music video Roller Coaster Tigers. What follows is a transcript of the interview that appeared in Fake People Magazine in the “first week of October” edition.
Fake People Person: I appreciate your taking the time out of your busy schedule to meet with me about Roller Coaster Tigers.
Brielle: I’m truly honored to be interviewed.
Fake People Person: Well, I’m paid to be here and your record label, Yogalates Lattes, contacted us in the first place…
Brielle: Well, I’m still happy to be here.
Fake People Person: You live here, so, well, I imagine you would be here anyway?
Brielle: Oh yeah, I would be. Do you want a mimosa?
Fake People Person: Do you drink mimosas often at 10pm?
Brielle: Only when reporters are over.
Fake People Person: Then I’ll take one, yeah.
Brielle: Brilliant! You want to watch a clip from Roller Coaster Tigers again?
Fake People Person: Yes!

Tell me what instrument you’re playing.
Brielle: They’re called shuttle pipes. They’re like the parlor version of bagpipes.
Fake People Person: How long have you played shuttle pipes?
Brielle: Since fourth grade really. I liked the music for Irish dancing, but hated the dancing, so I decided I should play bagpipes.
Fake People Person: Awesome. What’s the song about?
Brielle: Roller Coaster Tigers is about how I went to the zoo and thought how the Tigers were more free than I was in a lot of ways. I wanted to get off the roller coaster of life and take the power of the tiger to channel the inner peace you find in yoga.
Fake People Person: That’s deep.
Brielle: I’m really going to use all my songs to protest against institutionalized beliefs.
Fake People Person: And we’re out of time! Catch you next time!
Brielle: Bye!!
